This year's Valentine's event for the GSBC and local seniors was a huge hit!   We enjoyed a wonderful meal of chicken with all the fixins, plus some incredible desserts!

Our theme this year was "There's No Business Like Show Business!"

And we had a terrific show featuring the Kathryn Hopkins Quintet and lots of talent from our very own church family.

We even had a few "famous" characters which you might recognize below.

We started off by purchasing items for our annual goodie bag distribution.  Each year we assemble goodie bags for the residents of local assisted living / nursing care facilities.  This year we assembled 89 bags and distributed half to English Meadows residents and half to Heritage Hall.  The residents really enjoy receiving the goodie bags, and we receive a blessing sharing the love of Christ with the residents.  Sharing His love is what it's all about!

Celebrating 40 Years of Ministry

On Sunday, October 15, 2023 Good Shepherd Baptist Church celebrated forty years of ministry. This is certainly a milestone that clearly shows us the faithfulness of our gracious Lord. While it is vital that we look forward to our future and press on in fulfilling the purpose that He has called us to, we must never forget where we came from, how God has blessed, and how God has grown His church. 1 Chronicles 16:11-12 says, “Seek the Lord and

We had a great time hosting a pop-up VBS at Linden Green on September 30, 2023.  The kids enjoyed playing games, having snacks, and bouncing around in the Bouncy House. But the most important part of the day was sharing the gospel with the kids and their parents.   And we are excited to report that one child accepted Christ!  Praise the Lord!

On Sunday, November 13, 2022, GSBC held its Friendsgiving and Billy Graham service which was a special and memorable event. We began by honoring our veterans from each branch of the U.S. military. The Praise Team led us in songs of worship, then Pastor Michael Bartlett gave a touching message which included a video of Billy Graham's last evangelistic sermon.  After the service we enjoyed a wonderful time of food, fun, and fellowship with a meal of turkey, ham, and all the

Mark 15

Do you think it’s possible to change the world in one day? Not even a whole day – just the hours from the pre-dawn darkness until the skies are darkening again as the sun slips behind the mountains.

Jesus did.

Mark 15 covers a single day in history. Our attention is laser-focused on the once-in-a-lifetime, once-for-all-time event of the crucifixion of Jesus – the most pivotal point in humanity’s story. There are several players visible on the stage, but off-stage, unseen by

Before we read Mark 14 and today's devotional, I want to remind us that this Sunday at 10am we will sit at tables and have a Seder Meal (symbolic presentation of the Passover Meal.) Come early and get a table for you, your friends and your whole family.  Your plate will be like a Jewish luncheable and we will describe what each item is and how it ALL points to JESUS as our spotless LAMB!   We have some larger tables set out for larger families so sit accordingly.  Our CARE...
