Common questions on what we believe and when we meet for worship

Worship Service Bible Fellowship Classes
Join the GSBC family for a time of corporate worship each Sunday!
10:00 a.m. with music led by our Praise team.
Our weekly Life Groups Bible Fellowship classes are held each Sunday morning at 8:45AM.  Each small group is led by a gifted Bible teacher.  The Bible Fellowship Classes help you connect with others and with God.

What do you believe?

OUR DOCTRINE: GSBC is in full agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. You can find a copy located in the church lobby or online.
OUR NATURE: The church is a body of born-again, baptized believers voluntarily banded together for worship, missions and evangelism.
OUR MISSION: In obedience to our Lord’s “Great Commission”, we believe that our priority is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world.

What time do I need to arrive?

We recommend that you arrive about 10 minutes prior to the beginning Class or Worship Service.  Grab a cup of Coffee in the Lobby and fellowship with GSBC family.
Note: If you are thinking of taking advantage of our nursery or children’s departments you may want to consider arriving a couple minutes earlier if you have children to register for the first time. The check-in process helps us keep and return your children to you safely and allows time to get them settled in their classes.

What do I wear?

Most are casually dressed, but suits, jeans, and shorts are all welcome. We believe that it is the attitude of your heart that matters to God, not your physical appearance.

What style of music is used?

The music at GSBC is a mix of modern worship songs and favorite hymns and is led by a Praise Team and Band.

How long is the service?

Our Bible Fellowship classes last about one hour and our Worship service lasts about 1.5 hours.

What version of the Bible do you use?

Our Pastor primarily preaches from the New American Standard Bible®. However, we accept all versions of the Bible that hold true to God’s Word with a preference for those that strive to be a literal translation of the original text.

What will my children do while I’m in the Worship Service?

Families are important at GSBC! While the Adults and youth attend the Worship Service, the kids (through 5th grade) will be in special programs designed just for them with caring teachers who want to show them Jesus’ love  Read more about Kingdom Kids.  We also periodically have Family Focused Worship serviced in which the children (Kindergarten and above) join their parents for the Worship Service.

I have an infant, should I stay home?

Certainly Not! Please feel welcome to attend and bring your infant.  We have provided a room in the back of the sanctuary if you need to nurse your child or change a diaper or let them play.  A fully staffed nursery is also provided for infants up to 2 years before your child transitions into our preschool classes.
