Our schedule of activities for Fall semester 2008--
Wednesday nights 6:45-8:15pm:
We will begin our time together in praise and in prayer, then divide into two classes: “Stranger on the Road to Emmaus” - The Stranger gives a panoramic overview of the greatest themes of the Bible, to bring a clear understanding of the gospel and an ability to share it with others. “The Journey” by Billy Graham –We learn about God and his purpose for our lives; who Jesus is and what he has done for us. We are reminded of the things God has given us to live spiritually before Him: the Bible, the privilege of prayer, fellowship and the church, and the Holy Spirit. If you are not already involved in one of these studies, please inquire for more information.
Thursday nights 6:30-7:30pm
Youth are instructed musically as part of Youth Praise& Worship Band/Chorus. The group is expanding its repertoire and preparing for special music in an upcomingservice.
Thursday nights 7:30-8:30pm
We are practicing for this year’s Christmas program in cooperation with the children’s program, “Just Believe”. Youth are learning the difficult vocal harmonies and representing Christ to children just a bit younger than they are, in the spirit of Christ and Christmas. There is also an element of choreography associated with this performance, so even the “singing voice challenged” can be a part. Join us!
Sundays – two services 8:30am and 11:00am
Bible Fellowship Class in between (10:00am).
Please encourage your student to take advantage of in-depth teaching, which is the essence of small group study. We will offer as wide a range of student classes as those in attendance have need for.
Sunday evenings, 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Youth are challenged in their walks with God and given opportunity to influence others.
Adults, if you have interest in leading and/or working with youth, please contact Dee (e-mail youth(at)gsbcfamily.org) for information regarding necessary training – leadership course offered this fall!
Adults of Good Shepherd: We need your leadership and your heart for missions! In preparation for an upcoming missions project by the youth of Good Shepherd, we are completing a training course for adult leaders. Please plan to enroll if you have interest in missions and in leading our young people. Join us Sunday nights 5-7pm (corner classroom downstairs; a.k.a. old choir room) for prayer, planning and DVD training. Some highlights: Learn to Communicate Correct Truth - Understand Leadership Roles and Proper Use of Authority - Learn to Connect with People (especially teens) - Learn how You are Needed to Effectively Share Christ.
