If you’re looking for the premiere program to change kids’ lives, you’ve come to the right place! AWANA is the leading ministry to help local churches reach children and youth for Christ. AWANA blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. AWANA ministries will impact kids, families; and entire communities!

a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Good Shepherd’s AWANA program began in the fall of 2004. With approximately 25 Directors and Leaders, the AWANA program is growing with leaps and bounds.
There are three AWANA clubs at Good Shepherd.
– ages 3-5;
– ages K-2nd grade 
– ages 3rd to 6th grade.
Each group spends time working on their books and memorization, has a council time which incorporates the Bible Lesson.
The Children will also participate in Games each night.
There are also special event nights every other week at AWANA. Some of the special events are Crazy Hair Day, AWANA BE A STAR – Talent Show Night, Dimes for Missions, Measles Day, and Blackout Sunday.
AWANA also sponsors three major events each year. These events are the Fall Festival, Christmas VBS, and the Easter Event. If you would like to know more about the AWANA program at Good Shepherd, please call the church office.
This year we will also start AWANA GRAND PRIX! The kids will build pinewood derby cars and we will have a race night it which the kids will compete with the cars they have created!
